tee // skirt // shoes // sunglasses // heart ring // love knot ring // coffee c/o
Party people, are you in the house? Of course you are. Can we please talk about this skirt? Because I love it. Mostly because I can wear it with a tee running errands around town and look my age. And by “my age” I mean that I look like I can legally consume alcohol. That’s always a plus. This blue bud mini is perfect and I hope and pray that the Madewell gods deem it appropriate to make it in different patterns. You hear me, Madewell gods?
Dear readers, let us please overlook how freaking pasty I am. I get it, it is offensive. But you know what? I live in a box in NYC and I do not, I repeat, do not have access to a pool. I also refuse to lay in the park with a swimsuit on because I think that is some weird shit. Okay? So, I’ve learned to embrace my paste and that also ensures that the rinks (wrinkles) and sk (skin cancer) will stay at bay. I think it’s rather genius, if I do say so myself.
Also, how on earth did my hair grow so fast? I cut it in March and now…it’s long again. I suppose quick-growing hair is a really awesome problem to have. It affords me the ability to be incredibly fickle with my hair length. So hair, if you’re reading this, thanks for growing so quickly, I really dig it. But I’m thinking of cutting it again, and shorter this time. Thoughts? Of course, this would happen in a few months because now I want it as long as possible so I can let it air dry.

But wait that nail polish is perfection. And I haven’t worn a mini skirt in ages but this skirt is making me want to go get it and take it home and give it a loving place in my closet.
This skirt is adorable (and I hate using that word, but oh well!)
I’m embracing “pasty” as well, it’ll pay off 😉 Love your blog!
Cute look – Adore those shoes! <3
Ok so really what you are saying is I need to suck it up and go to Madewell?! BC i love this whole look! You know I’m texting you when i am happy because i just got so many cute clothes but broke and can’t do anything but sit at home! 🙂
Cute skirt! I think you have a tan compared to me! And honestly, I have no plans on changing that! My hair grows so quickly too, and considering the salon prices here, I’m not exactly thrilled about it!
Darling skirt – I’m loving all things blue and white for summer!
love the look! madewell is always on point!
& Pretty Things
Love this skirt! I totally know what you mean with some patterns skewing too young–happens to me too! Also, we need to talk about HOW to get a (safe) tan in NYC. Because I’m pasty too. And it sucks.
That skirt…I was just saying how much I am loving blue and white!!! xoox
i love this skirt. and i’m pale too, even though i have a pool and live in san diego. pale is better than wrinkles and skin cancer, trust me skin cancer really sucks.
You look absolutely adorable, but not in a way that looks like you’re too young to buy wine! And I didn’t notice the pastiness as much as your calf muscles!! Damn girl!
Such a pretty skirt!

Ah I love this look! Adorable.
i hear you on the pasty whiteness. i got “bronzed” for a trip to jamaica and no one could tell. pretty sure i was translucent before that.
oh, and i love the skirt and shoes! madewell for the win.
Can we just talk about the fact that you’ve found a miniskirt that is not cutoff denim? Hats off to Madewell for it and I second the idea of them making it in every pattern imaginable.
Found you through Megan and LOVE your blog 🙂
My paleness has reached epic proportions since moving to Germany from California. Talk about a vitamin D shock to my system! Who knew Germany was so far north? I sure didn’t.
Funny you mention bikinis in the park. Over here, Germans are so sun-deprived that when the sun finally pops out, they don’t even bother to go home and get a bikini. They tear their clothes off and sit in the park in their underwear, lacy white bras and all. The best is when some guy clearly dressed for work, stops his bike in the park, strips down to a teeny-tiny speedo and just basks in for 30 minutes before heading back to work.
The lesson here: be careful, as deprivation makes you do crazy things!
