I have a confession, I’m not one for weddings. It is true. In fact, a co-worker told me that I’m “so not a girl” because instead of looking at engagement rings online, I was looking at rings I wanted to buy for myself. Whatever. They just don’t do it for me and I don’t know why. I’m weird. I never really cared about birthday parties either. Never had a sweet sixteen.
Which brings me to my next point, right now, I’m on my way to Kansas City for one of my best friend’s weddings. I’ve be guaranteed some amazing people watching and lots of family members that fall into the above-average on the colorful scale. So I’m excited.

Plus, my friend isn’t being a bridezilla at all. In fact, she almost cares less about her wedding than I do. We’re quite the apathetic pair.
The moral of the story? Keep your eyes on my instagram and twitterfeed. It will not disappoint. I’ve heard about an aunt who is wearing a tu-tu. No shit.
We are just two non-marital peas in a domestic partnership pod.
I dislike how “being a girl” means having your entire wedding planned before you;re engauged! I am so with you on the “why should I care about that?” front
I’m liking this trip already.
No shit? KC is totally my neck of the woods. If you happen to have your evening free when you get in town, you should grab some drinks at The Cashew. Their martinis have served as the beginning of many an epic story. Can’t wait to see the tutu!
I can’t flipping WAIT!!!!! Where was your witty banter when I got married, dang!

I live in KC. If you get the chance, go to the Power and Light District. Have a great weekend!

just for the record – the fact that I said you are ‘so not a girl’ was, in fact, a compliment.
