You think I’m kidding right now, don’t you? It’s really easy to write a blog post, right? Clearly if it were so easy this post wouldn’t exist. So you can thank all those bloggers out there that are ridiculous right now for this.
When writing a blog post it is very important to do the following (write these down, I am not playing):
1. Use Paragraphs
2. Spell Check
3. Learn Correct Punctuation (I’m especially talking to all you ‘editors’)
I cannot stress the importance of paragraphs. So you’re getting a ton of comments on your blog but they have nothing to do with what you wrote, which is actually about how your boyfriend broke up with you, but everyone thinks your nail polish is super cute? It’s probably because your post is one long ass, run-on sentence that should be several short paragraphs. Do you get it? Because you are driving me crazy.
Seriously, when I see blogs posts that look like that I don’t even bother reading them.
I don’t get this spelling thing. Yes, we all make mistakes but when you keep making the same mistake (macaroon instead of macaron) I’m pretty sure you’re a dumbass.
Most of you do not know what an em dash is let alone how to properly use one. Stop it. Also, please learn how to use commas. The Grammar Girl can help you with this. A little trick, which isn’t always correct but is better than what you’re doing, is that you need a comma anyplace you’d naturally pause when speaking.
So when you went to the mall last week to look at dresses for your next outfit post and couldnt find a single thing that you liked cuz all the stores didnt have the size that you need because your a really weird fit would definitely benefit from some punctuation and use of the English language.
In conclusion, I’d like to stress the fact that you are not an editor and you need to turn word verification off or I might just kill myself.
You crack me up! 😉
Oh my god this post is so amazing I love it so much that I want to buy you a box of macaroons and then go to the mall and maybe take some outfit posts.

Love this! Though I probably make a million comma mistakes, which is even more embarrassing considering that I have a journalism degree.
But em dashes! Those I know. And love.
Why are you my favorite person? well besides gchatting all day long, and your killer hair, you speak the truth! DAMN WORD VERIFICATIONS NEED TO GO AWAY. wuv you.
This totally made my morning.
I would also like to add that “it’s” and “its” are not the same. And it’s “sneak peek” not “peak.”
Best blog post on this Friday morning. Seriously.
Em dashes make me gag.
Great blog post! Happy Friday!
I think I just wrote this – in my head! Seriously, word verification is stupid. Plain and simple. I don’t have it and I may have gotten like two spam messages in 4 months and they all went to spam. I seriously don’t get it. Other than that, I’m glad I found your blog. Been reading on and on and cracking up along the way. A good way to start the weekend. Have a good one!
ahahah this is brilliant! bad grammar and punctuation kill me!
This also drives me INSANE! Love it! Although, you do know that macaroons are a thing, right? They are not macarons, but they do exist. Just so you know. 🙂
Amen sister!
hahahaha that just cracked me up. It is SOOOOOO true!
I SO agree with you but sometimes I break the rules a little bit (like using ‘wanna’ instead of ‘want to’) mainly because I think it’s fun. Almost like an inside joke with myself – I *know* I broke a rule but others might think that just really how it is.
I fully accept that I’m weird for getting a laugh out of intentionally breaking a spelling/grammar rule.
Also, just fyi, macaroons are a real thing but not the French thing. They’re made with coconut and they’re kinda (like that?) delicious. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macaroon
hahahaaha
I’m dying laughing over here. Too funny, yet so true! Have a great weekend!
I’d like to also throw in the constant misuse of the word “infamous.” It DOES NOT mean “extremely famous.”
Hahaha when I first started reading blogs I was astonished at how many typos some people let slide! You’re so right in that it’s a huge turn off!
Perfect post! Maybe blogging platforms should make you pass a writing and editing test before they let you have a blog. Not everyone should be able to have one!
Good tips!

Isn’t this the truth?
But your word verification plea is even more spot on. How many spam comments to do bloggers really get?
you’re right!

LOL. This is very amusing. I love how your voice totally comes through in your blog. Nice post!
Now if only people would just listen to you!!
I’m constantly amazed at blogs where not only is it ten pages of text with no paragraphs, but the font is tiny as well. :S
If I’m feeling nice, I normally just scan the thing for a few key words like “exam” and “studying” and “so nervous” and then write a generic comment like “good luck on your exam, hon!” and never go back again.
This makes my life.
Plus, how many blogs have I read where people beg to turn off word verification and people still don’t do it. What else can we do? Hack them? If only I knew how…
You’re saying what I’m always thinking. I have a secret draft of a post where I rip everyone a new one over their grammar. I also love a good sale, like %50 off of a 100$ dress. And {} are not parentheses.
im not sure if your post or grace’s comment made me laugh more! you probably hate reading my blog because i always use dashes and three dots… haha! oh well, keep these post coming – they are amazing! xo. and yes… brunch next week!!
