It’s the curse of the humans and apparently the thief of joy: comparison. Comparison, the bitch. But the real bitch is that most of the time you aren’t even comparing yourself to someone else. Right?
We’ve all been there and I don’t want to be lame as shit or anything but I feel like bloggers as a whole are harder on themselves than anyone else. Page views this, subscribers that, bounce rate blah blah blah; it’s all very overwhelming.
Guess what? At the end of the day, it’s your call. You can do whatever you want. No matter what.
It’s your life and if you’re miserable, then what’s the point? It’s high time to stop beating your head against the wall and just do what the hell you want to.
I’m giving you good advice here, you should take it. Thank me later. Yes, I do accept gifts as payment.
thank you for saying this.
that’s all.
Sounds good to me!
Amen!
haha love it! what script is that btw??
well said 🙂
Word to live by.
TRU DAT!!! Screw beating myself up for not posting every single day – it is my life and I need to actually LIVE it!!!
thank you… wise words, CH!
A-effing-men. Don’t blog for other people. Blog because it makes you happy. JEEZ.
Can I get an AAAMMEEEN?! Thank you for THIS! Made my day 10 times better!
Hellz yeah!
Such good advice. We can’t forget!
Couldn’t agree more, and I find that the only time comparison is good is when we compare ourselves to the less fortunate ones, so that we can be grateful for what we have, otherwise, is not healthy and I quite don’t get why people do it.
Amen.
I’ve been living by this sentiment for three years as a blogger. It’s so, so true. Don’t blog for others, blog for yourself. Otherwise, it’s pointless.
i always snort when i see that someone calling themselves a “bad blogger”. i didn’t realize there was such a a thing.
I love this and you’re so right! comparison is too terrible and frustrating to do all of the time.
