You know those people who keep their hair the same for years at a time and then freak out and demand change whether it be in the form of a cut or color? Well, if you didn’t you “do” now. I am one of those people. I’m itching for some change and I have an appointment this Saturday, so there are a few days still to decide the direction, but the three images below are all still in the running.
Obviously, the three of these are all drastic in their own way. Thick fringe, above the shoulders and a lot lighter. Oddly enough, the light ‘do is the least commitment. What do you think?
3! 3! good for approaching spring and then can cut it shorter for summer
Oh, and I’m totally htat person that hasn’t changed their hair in 5 years
I’m the same way. I complain to my bf about how I want to change my hair like once a month, but then I always end up chickening out. I’ve worked hard to get my hair as healthy and long as it is now, so I’m worried about chopping it or dying it and ruining it. I love Olivia’s cut here- I think it would work well on you!
This happens to me bi-yearly and I cry after I make the change and then grow to love it. Its time for another one of those…
Can’t wait to see what you choose:)
Don’t cut it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I was so devastated when I cut my long locks… I speak from experience here). I like the lightening idea the best.
But you have such gorgeous hair!!! But I understand if you want a change, I think I vote for option 2, though the color in the third one is beautiful!
I vote #2! Many people will beg you not to cut it, but look – it’s only hair and it will grow back. I go through the same thing and am currently in one of the grow out stages. If you want a change – DO IT! You have gorgeous hair and just because it is a little shorter, doesn’t mean it won’t still be beautiful!
I have that same issue! Right now, I desperately want my long hair back, so I’m drawn toward #3. I basically had Olivia’s haircut, but it just wasn’t as awesome on me. I’m sure whichever one you pick will look amazing!
I’m the same way. I have literally gone through every hair color/cut possible.
I love number 3. if you end up hating it, you can always cut it to get rid of the ombre. then you’re left with number 2. 🙂
Don’t cut it – play with color if you must but your hair is gorgeous as is!
Ever since I saw Buffy the vampire slayer I’ve had her hairstyle of the swept up messy bun with a big alligator clip. I’m really liking the first do!! Maybe after the winter! Good luck on your decision!! =)
your hair is gorgeous but it will grow back! i vote for #1 – if you are certain you can maintain bangs, or #2. my hair was never as amazing as yours but i recently got a blunt, just below the shoulders cut (after having long, long layers forever) and it feels amazing and i get so many compliments everywhere i go – which is always a good thing. i think it’s just b/c i look different than everyone else with the long, long layers!
Lol. I do this every 4 months. Hence purple hair, then chopping off 15 inches. I do love having it short after 10 years of long hair. I’m already a little over the bangs, so those are getting grown out stat. I do love you as a brunette… Can’t wait to see what you decide!!
Olivia was my hair inspiration this past hair appointment, clearly did not end up like that bc I am not her…hmm I like your length though!
Can’t wait to see what you do!
Lighter lighter lighter!
Umm…before you cut it will you do a long hair tutorial?!?!
Bang it up!! I love that first look. I just got side swept bangs last week and looove them.
Honestly though, any of those hairstyles would look fabulous.
Isn’t That Charming.
I was gonna do bangs but I pussed out! LOVE the light color…but I’m obviously non committal, so there you go.
Bangs. Your hair is so pretty dark. And it is pretty long, but I think the bangs could really make your hair into a look! And yes- I do it over and over again. Cut of 8 inches in the fall. xo
I say do it! I just chopped eight inches off mine to get Olivia’s cut (that’s actually the picture I brought in!) and I love it. Plus, as a bonus, it takes me so much less time to get ready in the morning. I think you could totally rock any of these options!
I am seriously the most giant wimp when it comes to change with my hair…hence it being utterly boring. Since Zooey Deschanel has rocketed to the top of the national consciousness, my husband’s been like, “Hey! Bangs!” but I had them basically from birth to high school and am scared to tread that path again. But what’s the point of living if you’re going to be boring all the time, right? Maybe I’ll take that picture of Rose with me on my next trip to the salon…
I vote a combo! Thick bangs, leave it long (you can always cut it shorter later) and some blonde…
#hotness
keep. it. the. same!!!
Such a tough choice to make! I really like the length of #1 and I think bringing in some blonde highlights with your current color would look gorgeous! Can’t wait to see what you do. I’m going to color my hair one of these days…when I can bring myself to do it. Sigh.
ombre it up, girl
xo the egg out west.
Bangs. Bangs. Bangs.
Bangs are having a moment. Capitalize. They are great.
I used to be one of those people, and I just wanted a change, so I went shorter (above shoulder, a-line bob), kept it for two years, wanted another change, cut it to a pixie last weekend (think Anne Hathaway/Michelle Williams) So NOT me at all, but turned out to be the BEST cut and I’ve gotten more compliments on it than I ever had before.
I told a friend years ago, similar hair to yours, to not cut it, and she cut it, and same thing, AWE-SOME.
So cut it, do it, bite the bullet, you only live once and hair always grows back!!!
Okay you know I love your hair just the way it is. But I get it. Your color is stunning, so I say go for the first pic. That way if you did curl it you can get the second photo. Versatility, lady!
I’m totally the same and probably will never teh same, I love the last look!
