I’m on a chocolate roll, my amigos and I love it. Why? Oh, because it’s not terrible for you. Similar to these bad boys, this here dessert is “healthy”. Well, okay, it’s all natural and has no added refined sugars. None. Booyah! Look at me go.
Seriously, I’m trying really hard to only tempt you with good-ish-for-you sweets this early in the morning. That is how much I care about you. That is a hell of a lot of care. Because do you realize how easy it is for me to whip up 100 variations of amazing brownies? Oh, it’s easy.
It’s not only easy, but it’s free of a lot of things like dairy, nuts, gluten, otherwise known as the “usual suspects”. I could make this everyday and I might because I’m a grown up and because the amazing bakery in my building closes too early for me to procure a cookie on the daily.
CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
(makes one serving – just multiply as you see fit…okay?)
1/2 avocado
1/2 ripe banana
1 date
1/4 cup cacao powder
3 heaping teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder (I like my ish chocolatey)
A few splashes almond milk, coconut milk, whatever milk you want, really.
Add everything into a food processor and blend until smooth. Garnish with whatever flings your skirt up. I used cacao nibs and coconut. Ta-da!
crap! that looks amazing. and i am in disbelief over the avocado. i would have never thought of that.
happy monday, enjoy your week 🙂

Yum! I make this all the time..it works out SO perfectly with the avocado and banana. I also love adding in some chia seeds for some extra superfood goodness.
This looks seriously amazing.
Yum yum yum! I just recently used avocado in a baking recipe for the first time and I was blown away by how yummy it tastes without a hint of avocado. I am definitely going to have to try this!
I’ve always been suspect of avocado mousse. but for you, i will try it. how much can you taste the bananers?
wow! avocado and banana in chocolate mousse? im sold!
Ok, I am a little suspicious of the avacado…But I am trying to get on a health kick, so I will Pin it. That’s almost like eating healthier, right?
YUMMMMMMM! Girl you are killing it!
Wait. It’s made with avocado?! You’re kidding me. I need that in my life immediately.

& Pretty Things
I didn’t believe it was good for you until I read the ingrediants. Yum!
Oh, this is so happening when I get home. I make the “paleo” version with just dark chocolate and water all the time (and it’s way better than it sounds) but this looks even more interesting.
I can’t believe that has avaocado in it! It looks so good!

What an easy recipe… Love it!
I think we have a similar rationale lately 🙂 Throw in some healthy things and what could possible be so wrong about something that feels so right? Love your blog! And the name. If I had a nickel for every time I’ve said “with an i”
i just made choclate mousse today and devoured that bad boy. i’ll keep this recipe posted for my next fat-girl food rampage – i’ll feel better knowing it’s healthy.

YUMMMMY! totally loving this
Ok – so we are a couple months in to the paleo thing, and I’ve seen this a few times in different cookbooks/blogs etc. Is it seriously good?? The avocado has me totally freaked out.
