This past weekend, due to that bitch Hurricane Sandy, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden was offering free admission so we headed on out there. I won’t lie, I thought everything would be flattened and just a plain mess. But it wasn’t and surprisingly enough, the Rose Garden was strangely intact.
They were the strong ones that held on and they happened to be beautiful and perfect, even amidst their fallen comrades. I particularly loved this pond and can’t wait to go back and see how amazing it is in the Spring. It looked like something I would have seen in my favorite childhood movie, The Secret Garden.
Like seriously, how pretty is it? What are you up to this weekend? Planning on going exploring?
Beautiful!! I’m getting married at the Chicago Botanic Rose Garden and this just got me so excited. I’m so happy that it wasn’t flattened and ruined by Sandy. Have a good weekend. XO
