narrow nightstands…woof

I’m not going to tell the internet that for the past year I’ve lived with a mattress on the floor, like in the stereotypical frat house. Or how we haven’t had night stands in the same time.

Which means that I can’t tell you that I’m trying to find narrow night stands. Easy enough, right? Well you’re obviously out of touch. This shit is dificil.

But, don’t you worry, I’ve done all the leg work and narrowed it down to three choices. All from the same place, which is not a big shocker.

Up first in the number one slot we have the Adams Nightstand, which I think is really nice and I like that it has one drawer and is open. My mother can attest to ratio of drawers at my disposal to the amount of useless shit I have. So keeping it simple is muy bueno.

In second place, is the Silhouette Nightstand. I like the lines on this one and that it could possibly double as a table if I win the lottery or my boyfriend gets a promotion and we move to a more deluxe apartment in the sky. However, it’s a bit on the large side for the space we have.

Last but not least, there is the Hudson. Clearly this is the most expensive. I like how tall and lean this bad boy is, however I do not love how much it costs. And, I know me, this will be full of crap before you can yell “Christin Leann! If you had a brain, you’d take it out and play with it!”

I love this one but I didn’t picture it because well, it can go to hell with how much it is. Last I checked, I wasn’t a millionaire. Also, this one is really nice too.

So what do you think? Obviously it’s sort of hard to judge because I haven’t told you any of this.

I like #1 as a night stand… but I’ve had my eye on #2 for a side table in our living room.

Why are 3 pieces of painted wood so much damn money?? I wish yt could build shit.

  2. Alex {Things That Sparkle}July 25, 2012 at 1:04 pm

So the first one is my favorite, and change out the hardware with some brass fabulousness.

  3. Kate JulianJuly 25, 2012 at 1:49 pm

I like the first and second. The third looks like a filing cabinet. Kick that baby out.

  4. AlexJuly 25, 2012 at 1:50 pm

    Numero dos. Forever.

  5. Sheri Ann {Sprinkles and Style}July 25, 2012 at 2:12 pm

I think the first is the way to go.

  6. HeidiJuly 25, 2012 at 2:13 pm

I love #1 and #2, but would pick #1 because it has a drawer. I think #2 would be a perfect side table next to a sofa or tucked into a corner somewhere.

    Good luck!

numero uno fo sho! that drawer is totally necessary for keeping everything neat & organized, inside the drawer can be a hot mess & no one needs to know!

my vote goes to #2, then #1. I love that the roun one is a bit oversized, plus I’ve been looking at similar ones for my room.

what I really need is book shelves!

LOVE the first two. And agree with Alex- get some fab hardware.

Ok, have you looked at CB2? They have so much great stuff made for small spaces. And they have these neat night stands that you hook to the wall so they look like they’re free standing. Well I just looked and they’re not white. I must be thinking of another place….grr I’m going to go crazy trying to remember. Well, I like #2.

I like number 2, it is a bit feminine. Although I suppose it depends on the rest of your decor!

  12. StephanieJuly 25, 2012 at 3:30 pm

I like number 1 the best. 2 is nice, too but 3 looks like it belongs in an office, not a bedroom. and my middle name is also Leann. have we discussed that already?

  13. LauraJuly 25, 2012 at 4:59 pm

    one fo sho.

  14. Landi {Freckled Confessions}July 25, 2012 at 5:04 pm

I love West Elm… they always have great pieces but yeah – sometimes can get overly pricey. I love the first one and think it’s great that it has a drawer. Just make sure it hits at a good level with your bed because it’s super annoying to have one too short or too high than when you’re lying down and trying to reach for your phone or remote ;)

  15. TaylorJuly 25, 2012 at 6:21 pm

I like #1 or #3 – cuz there are just some things by the bed you need to errrr hide! ;) Plus extra storage in any apt is always good – I have shorts in the bottom drawer of ours! But longevity of the piece is key – you don’t want to not need it later on.

  16. CaraJuly 25, 2012 at 8:17 pm

    Definitely #1

  17. Gaby [The Vault Files]July 25, 2012 at 9:35 pm

Tough one! I think one or two ;)

  18. AlexaJuly 26, 2012 at 4:59 am

Such good choices…I think I like numero uno the best. ;)

  19. CrystalinJuly 26, 2012 at 2:40 pm

I would either go with one or two. Three seems a little blah for your personality ;) If you want to shake things up, you could always do one and two, you know mix and match lol.
