lions & tigers & where are the elephants?

There are two things I look for in a zoo, elephants and koalas. That’s it. I’m pretty easy to please. That is unless you’re the Bronx Zoo and you have neither of these things.

What the hell kind of zoo are you!? Who doesn’t have a damn koala? I mean, come on. No elephants? Now it’s just ridiculous.
I’m sorry, but where I come from there are some damn elephants and koalas. It’s what dreams are made of.
All in all, I’d say the zoo was fun. It was especially fun because it was free and you know me. I love free .99, it’s the best price ever.
We saw lions…
And tigers…
And one really upset polar bear who wanted someone to feed him. I didn’t take his picture because he looked seriously pissed off and I know how I feel when I want to be fed so I extended him the professional courtesy.
But we did see giraffes and they were pretty cute. They were no koalas though…
I really want a pet koala.
Oh and I broke in my new shoes so I’d say the day was overall pretty good.

I can’t believe that we share an undying love of koalas and elephants! They’re my favveeee.

I want to hug and kiss and carry around a koala. Let’s make this happen.

Fact: in elementary school kids used to call me a giraffe because of my longass neck. So I relate very well to giraffes. But elephants are a zoo staple, and we both know I’m not going anywhere near a zoo that doesn’t have pandas. So I feel you.

I have a serious soft spot for elephants, that is just ridiculous that there are none!

I miss the San Diego Zoo, it was seriously the best, but I agree. Free is the best of the best!

I look for Penguins, but those are at our aquarium. I like giraffes too. but they kind of freak me out.

Lions are so cool, I also love the huge gorillas with blue butts. :)

Koalas are so soft, but they smell (really bad) and their claws are so super sharp. I have a photo of me holding one in Australia and I have this ridiculous, pained smile on my face because that little fucker’s claws were digging into my love handles.

I feel the same way when there aren’t any polar bears. I mean, c’mon people!

No elephants?! That’s crazy talk. At least it was free and you got to break your shoes in. That has to count for something, right?

Koalas I can maybe understand but what the hell kind of place calls itself a respectable zoo but doesn’t have elephants? That’s crazy talk.

We’re planning on going to the San Diego zoo next week. If I see koalas and/or elephants, I’ll take a photo just for you.

    …no elephants?! I’m so confused.

At least there was a polar bear, pissed off or not!

That’s a pretty good price for lions, and tigers and giraffes. I love seeing the elephants too, though.
