cookies & cream ice cream

I’m not sure how you all spend your Monday evenings, but when I get home from a long day at work I head straight to the kitchen. That is correct, straight to the kitchen to make homemade ice cream. What can I say? I’m an overachiever.

My boyfriend also likes ice cream. And I like to show off. Everyone wins.

This was fairly simple, except for when I made the cookies from scratch. Took hours. I lie. I bought them at Trader Joe’s. I added them after the ice cream was done in the mixer and right before it went into the freezer. You just gotta smash those bad boys up. Or if you’re O.C.D. like me, you cut them into quarters.

Whatever. Judge if you will, but you’re the one who wishes you made your own ice cream.

I got my Vanilla Bean recipe from Jeni, obviously.

Happy hump day, bitches.

    MMMMMMMMMMM.

I have the best recipe (ok, well Martha does) for oreo cheesecake cupcakes. It was the first thing I made when I broke in my mixer. So freaking good.

It looks really good. And who cares if you don’t make your cookies from scratch. It is about how they taste right? Thanks for sharing!

I’ve always wanted to make homemade icecream! I go for the low fat, no sugar vanilla and add a little nutella & reduced fat PB… hits the spot for me, at least!! :)

OMG Jeni’s is THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER! That is probably the number one reason I am sad I no longer live in Columbus, a mere 3 blocks from her shop. I need to try this, I am salivating at my desk!

Have you tried her salty carmel? AMAZEBALLS.
