my favorite mascara

I consider myself beyond aware that natural mascara is an overall “crap” category. I am also well aware that most natural brands just can’t measure up. That all changed for me a few months ago and I apologize about my tardiness on the issue but better late than never, right?

Let’s just start on the left shall we? This mascara is one of my favorite go-to’s. It’s perfect for layering or on its own when you’re looking for something natural. It’s a great lash separator. The primer is what I would like to call “god’s gift to the humans” it will make any mascara make your lashes look extra thick and long. Lights, camera, lashes is one of my favorites. It lengthens  and adds volume but not too much. Just the perfect amount. When I want to be dramatic I reach for the Korres. It builds awesome and adds the most amazing volume. I highly recommend this one. Use this with the primer and your lashes will be amazing.

Any questions?

tHERSday

Sometimes, there is nothing better than a nice, relaxing girl’s night in and thanks to the lovely people at REMBRANDT® a few friends and myself got to have some fun.

girlsnight

I got an awesome kit that included Stirrings cosmo mix, the most adorable Marimekko napkins, Bunco (which is hilarious by the way), a Neutrogena mask and hand cream, Cynthia Rowley band-aids (need) and most importantly, REMBRANDT® stain dissolving strips. We played a game, watched one of my personal favorites, Bridget Jones Diary, and sipped on Cosmos and Vodka Sodas.

I definitely need to do this more often and if you haven’t tried Stirrings cocktail mixes you are missing out. They are so amazing. Do you enjoy girls night in or out more?

sprout skincare

When I first heard about Sprout, I got seriously excited. Not only were the products local (made in Brooklyn), they were organic and sourced locally when possible. I have found my skincare nirvana.

Sprout SkincareNot only is the packaging amazing, no plastic here! The products are truly awesome. I am beyond in love with the toner. Word on the street is that apple cider vinegar is a wonder elixir and I couldn’t agree more. The exfoliant is amazing and doesn’t make you want to throw up if you accidentally get some in your mouth. My stubborn mascara comes off so easily with the makeup remover and I feel really good about cleaning my skin with the cleanser.

You guys, this product lives up to the hype. Every product is handmade by people who are passionate about simplicity in skincare. They only “use the simplest possible blends of whole, high-potency ingredients to create products that truly work”. Even Gwyneth Paltrow likes them. So if you won’t take my word for it, take hers.

willa skincare

I swear to you that this isn’t becoming a natural beauty blog. That being said, I need to talk to you about something. There is a line of all-natural skincare products, it’s for teen girls but us non-teens can use it too. In fact, I really love it.

What is it? It’s willa. The best part is that Willa is a teen and she’s cute to boot. She and her mom couldn’t find any suitable natural products for teen girls so they decided to create their own. How cool is that? When I found out about it, I was insanely jealous and wished it had been around when I was a teen.

The foaming cleanser is amazing. I use it at night with my Clarisonic and it does the trick. Gets my skin squeaky clean without drying it out and it smells amazing. I’ve been using the tinted moisturizer daily and it matches my skin tone really well. It is a bit thick so I just added a pump of my Josie Maran moisturizer to it and it goes on great. I get it, I don’t have acne. But lately with this heat and my various hair products, my hairline has been trying to break out and the acne pen isn’t letting it happen and I love it forever.

I would definitely recommend these products for anyone but if you know a teen girl, you should totally hook you up. I think she’d think you are the bomb.com, but more importantly, I’d think that you are. And let’s face it, I’m more important. So just go buy some, okay?

**I was given these three products to use but I the opinions expressed here are fully my own.
